PULP Live World brings another first as they announce that MONSTA X IN MANILA 2016: THE FIRST ASIA FAN MEETING will be held this November 27, 2016 at Skydome, SM North EDSA, Quezon City.Not only can Pinoy Monbebes (the term for Monsta X fans) get to see Shownu, Wonho, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Jooheon, and I.M.perform their brand of Kpop hip-hop/R & B in the flesh for the very first time in the Philippines, they also get the chance to have an interactive fan experience with the Korean boy group as well! It will truly be a first and one-of-a-kind experience in the Manila concert circuit. It promises to be a spectacular night as the boy group brings their electrifying dance moves and versatile singing/rapping prowess in hits such as “Stuck,” “All in,” “Hero,” “Trespass” and “Rush.”

The group was formed by Starship Entertainment through the MNET talent survival TV show No Mercy in 2015. Monsta X may have been formed less than two years ago, but they have already broken records and amassed a large fan base worldwide in such a short span of time. Their 2nd mini-album Rush (after Trespass) placed #1 at the Hanteo Chart and they received the “Next Generation Asian Artist Award” on the 2015 MNET Asian Music Awards. The Kpop boy band placed #10 on the Top 13 Best-Selling Idol Debut Albums of 2012-2016 with over 30,000 units moved in 2015. Monsta X’s third mini-album The Clan Part 1: Lost was released this May and skyrocketed to #5 on the Billboard World Charts. Monsta X surpassed 1 Million views on YouTube in a span of only 24 hours, topped the Hanteo Charts in Korea and US & Japanese iTunes’s K-Pop Charts.

When asked by magazine Bling what their ultimate aspiration for their group is, Kihyun said, “We want to be a group that promotes with their own distinctive color. We want to be a group that others would like to be.” And Hyungwon added, “We want to be a group who does music they like and gets love. When asked about their creative process after all these years by PULP in an exclusive interview last 2015, Ortiz described it as “We’re definitely not making an attempt at ‘mainstream’ hard rock. It’s never been, ‘Let’s do what mainstream is doing,’ it’s always been, ‘Let’s do what we do and that will become mainstream.’ A lot of the sound comes from constant experimentation and increase in confidence. Early on it was just jamming stuff out and whatever felt right. Now it’s listening to it on our laptops. Other than some technical aspects, our approach hasn’t changed at all. Some songs will be more simple and you get the sense that those types of songs will likely be ‘the single.’ Some songs you pull out all the stops and go all out to try to write an epic masterpiece, or a brutal statement. The approach hasn’t changed, why the sound has, I’m not so sure.”

Filipino rock fans, get ready to defend pop-punk again as 28 Black, Lee Pipes and PULP Live World forge a formidable union to stage MAYDAY PARADE Live in Manila this October 15, 2016 at Samsung Hall, SM Aura, BGC, Taguig City. The American worldwide pop-punk sensation from Tallahassee, Florida is set to return to one of their most favorite countries in support of their fifth critically-acclaimed full-length album Black Lines. KPOP CHANTEUSE HITS MANILA FOR THE FIRST TIME!

South Korean singer LEE HI will make her debut on our shores this September 23, 2016 at SM Skydome, SM North EDSA, Quezon Cityin what promises to be a spectacular show in an intimate setting. The KPOP sensation who first made waves as the runner-up to Park Ji-min (of 15+ fame) on the first season of K-pop Star at the tender age of 16 will be touring in support of her sophomore album Seoulite, her first release after a three-year hiatus as a solo artist that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard World Album chart. She will bring her sultry brand of KPOP music heavily flavored with a retro Western pop twist (read: Amy Winehouse, Adele, Meghan Trainor) to her Filipino fans via certified worldwide hits such as “1, 2, 3, 4,” “Rose,” “Hold My Hand,” “My Star” and “Breathe,” among many others.

After her K-pop Star Season One stint, Lee Ha-yi was originally assigned by premiere KPOP management group YG Entertainment to a girl group, but her success as a solo singer prompted them to let her continue as such. Her debut single “1, 2, 3, 4” was released in 2012 and reached No. 1 with first week sales of 667,549 downloads. The aforementioned song earned “World’s Best Song” and “World’s Best Video” nominations at the 2012 World Music Awards and “Best Rookie” wins at both the 2013 editions of the Golden Disk and Seoul Music Awards. Her first album First Love was released in 2013 and surprised the KPOP world with her curious take on jazz and R & B influences that’s rarely heard from her contemporaries. AUSSIE BAND BRINGS “BETTER WEATHER” TO MANILA: WITH CONFIDENCE LIVE!

Aussie pop punk quartet With Confidence will be performing live in Manila for the very first time! They’re back with first studio album Better Weather, released just last June 2016 and debuted in the #18 spot in Australian iTunes chart during its initial release. The band who is currently on tour with Vans Warped Tour has been widely requested by Filipino fans and supporters.

With Confidence is comprised of Filipino member, Inigo Del Carmen(backing vocals, guitar) with Jayden Seeley (lead vocals, bass), Josh Brozzesi (drums), and Luke Rockets (guitar). The band was formed on 2012 and released their debut single “Stand Again” for free download in April, 2013. After producing their debut EP independently, they finally released Youth on July 2013. Since then the band has acted as local support for bands like 5 Seconds of Summer, The Getaway Plan, and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. On 2014, they released a new single and their debut music video “I Will Never Wait” which was followed by the band’s first national headline tour which sold out some of its venues including Sydney’s The Lair. On January 2015, they released their second EP Distance which was then followed by their second headlining tour, selling out different venues throughout Australia as well. The band has then signed with American independent record label, Hopeless Records and just recently released their first studio album.

Also presented by PULP Live World, their sold-out show at the Mall of Asia Arena on December 7, 2015 was a marvelous success. Manila was a vital part of the tour as the first stop outside Seoul and Japan, the concert instilled a lot of hype in Filipino ARMYs and K-pop enthusiasts alike.

BTS further gathered recognition with the phenomenal success of their two-part The Most Beautiful Moment in Life (화양연화) EP series which topped various music charts such as Gaon, iTunes, MelOn and even broke into Billboard 200 and Billboard’s World Album charts.

This time, they continue to break boundaries with their most recent compilation album 화양연화 Young Forever which had sold 300,000 copies during its one-week pre-sale period alone. The album also topped major Korean music charts upon the day of its release which is considered a feat in the Korean music industry. Currently, it is also at No.107 of Billboard 200, and is expected to climb higher in the coming weeks.

On May 7 and 8, the group held their Epilogue concert at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Arena in Seoul which proved to be another massive success, boasting a full-house with a 15,000-strong crowd for each day. Prior to that, the pre-reservation tickets were sold out in a matter of minutes with only a poster as teaser to draw people in. The two-hour concert, which they are slated to tour across Asia, showcased BTS’ most powerful performances yet, incorporating a live band accompaniment, grandiose stages and redefined track arrangements. Four years since they defied expectations and impressed the toughest rock crowd the Philippines has to offer in PULP Summer Slam 12: The Apostles last April 28, 2012, American metalcore quintet BLESSTHEFALL returns for their first solo show on our shores this June 13, 2016 at SM Skydome, Quezon City. Co-presented by 28 Black and Tribal, BLESSTHEFALL LIVE IN MANILApromises to be a night of organized chaos characterized by the band’s heavy breakdowns and emotionally-charged lyrics. The band will be touring in support of their fifth album To Those Left Behind, but PinoyBlessthefall fans can also expect cult favorites such as “Hollow Bodies,” “Hey Baby, Here’s That Song You Wanted,” “You Wear a Crown but You’re No King,” “40 Days” and “Open Water,” among many others to be performed.

Their abovementioned 2015 release To Those Left Behind received loads of critical acclaim, with international publication Outburn describing it by saying “This is a prime example of metalcore” while Rock Sound rated it as the 39th Best Album of 2015.Bokan’s favorite revenge and horror films provided the fuel for the album’s compelling lyrical themes. He also drew inspiration from the feelings of loneliness and despair he feels whenever he’s on the road.

“When I’m away from my family, I actually go into this crazy depression,” Bokan said in an interview with international rock publication Revolver. “It’s so upsetting to think that something I love so much, like music, takes me away from something I love even more. Dealing with that allowed me to reach the really dark place I needed to be in for these songs.”

PULP Live World and 28 Black proudly announce COPELAND BY REQUEST this April 28, 2016 at SKYDOME, SM North EDSA, Quezon City, Philippines. The massively influential American pop-alternative rock band will be playing a career-spanning set of requests for their Filipino fans who have been waiting for their favorite band to play here in Manila for years. Copeland wants to hear what their Pinoyfans want to hear from them by posting requests and tagging @PULPLiveWorld and @copelandband. We can definitely look forward to cult favorites such as “Erase,” their cover of The Police classic “Every Breath You Take,” “Brightest,” “Take Care,” and many, many more!

COPELAND is currently comprised of original member Bryan Laurenson(lead and bass guitars), Stephen Laurenson(rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Jonathan Bucklew (drums) and founding member and frontman Aaron Marsh. The band was formed in 2001 and first made their breakthrough a couple of years later with their independently released debut album Beneath Medicine Tree. Since then, Copeland released three more critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful albums – In Motion (2005), their major label release Eat, Sleep, Repeat (2006) and YouAre My Sunshine (2008) before announcing their Farewell Tour in 2008. In 2014, the band reunited with a new album entitled Ixora.

In an interview with www.substreammagazine.com, Aaron Marsh rationalized on their decision to revive Copeland, “All of our lives lined up between band members and it seemed like a good time to do it. And we didn’t want to wait too long. We’re learning that as people grow up and get families they don’t really care about stuff that they cared about when they were younger, as is the case with us. We thought while we still have an audience we should maybe do something. So, that was another factor.”
