RITA ORA RELEASES NEW SINGLE FEATURING FATBOY SLIM “PRAISING YOU” AND ANNOUNCES UPCOMING ALBUM YOU & I
Internationally acclaimed singer/songwriter RITA ORA, who rose to prominence more than a decade ago via hit electropop single “Hot Right Now” and her debut studio full-length Ora (which debuted at #1 in the United Kingdom…), is yet to make waves again with her recent single “Praising you,” which is a collaboration with revered musician/DJ/producer FATBOY SLIM.
Released earlier this month, the single is a reworking of the Grammy-nominated cult anthem by Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Quentin Cook) who originally sampled Camille Yarbrough’s “Take Yo’ Praise,” which incidentally, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The single, which sort of introduces Ora’s version of the story, is set to be a surefire EDM summer anthem by those who’ve already heard it.

“To not only get Norman’s stamp of approval, but to actually collaborate with him and pay homage to such a massive song from my childhood was truly a surreal experience,” says Rita. “I’m incredibly honored to breathe new life into the song and re-introduce it to a whole new generation.”
Fans worldwide will also be stoked with the official announcement of Ora’s upcoming third album You & I which will be dropped this July 14th via BMG. Rita has co-written all the songs, and worked with executive producer Oak Felder (of Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, Alicia Keys and Usher fame…).
“This album really means a lot to me,” Rita was quoted in a previous interview. “It’s like the diary of my last few years, it’s my sound and it just feels so true to me and who I am today.” PULP
