Good Charlotte Pay Tribute to Lil Peep with ‘Awful Things’ Cover

November 15 marks the tragic death of emo-rapper Lil Peep (real name Gustav Åhr). He passed away at age 21 due to an accidental drug overdose.

His memorial service was held last December 2, and was attended by fans and fellow musicians. One of the musicians were influential pop punk band Good Charlotte. The band performed a cover of “Awful Things”, a song off the late rapper’s latest release “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1”. Watch the band’s performance below:

Lil Peep was a member of Goth Boi Clique, an underground rap group that is often credited to have popularized the emo-rap subgenre. Peep released one full-length album, four mixtapes, and six EPs before his untimely death.
