SAOSIN CONFIRMS RESCHEDULED PERFORMANCE DATE IN MANILA, ADDS A SECOND NIGHT
The road of rock n’ roll isn’t always easy to navigate. In fact, most of the time, there are enough perils and setbacks that easily break any band or artist.
Which is why many fans were disheartened and – understandably – worried when seminal post-hardcore act SAOSIN had to cancel the remainder of their tour last March 2023 due to health concerns within their traveling party.
But good music and great artists always bounce back, and can reverse any bad situation and turn it into an unforgettable experience for loyal fans, which is why the band – vocalist Anthony Green, guitarist Beau Burchell, bassist Chris Sorenson and drummer Alex Rodriguez – are excited to finally reveal that their Asia Tour has been rescheduled to November 3rd, 2023 and that the sold-out show will be held at the same venue, the SM City North Edsa Skydome. And there’s more: to reward their legion of Filipino die-hards, they are adding a second show to their stop in Manila and will also be performing the following night November 4th.
Tickets to the second show will be made available on June 4, 2023 through SM Tickets outlets and via www.smtickets.com. The show is produced by PULP Live World and Skesh Entertainment.
Saosin rose to prominence during the early part of the millennium, after their first EP Translating The Name (released in 2003) was well-received worldwide, having been promoted and shared via online social networking sites like MySpace.com. Critics praised the Orange County, Califronia-bred band for expanding the limits and style of post-hardcore and emo, and for among the first slew of bands in the genre to stir interest from labels and mainstream entities.
Though vocalist Green would soon depart from the band, Saosin continued-on and reached even bigger success with replacement vocalist Cove Reber, as the band released their 2006 self-titled full-length – which featured some of their biggest hits, including “It’s Far Better To Learn,” “Voices” and “You’re Not Alone.” It was behind the strength of the album that the band toured more places, and by 2010, first played Manila and proved to Filipino audiences that theirs was a show like no other. The show was also produced by PULP Live World.
By 2014, fans were excited when it was announced that Green had rejoined the band and have been waiting since for Saosin to return to the Philippines.
So make sure to be there front and center at the Skydome in SM City North Edsa, because Soasin promises to play all the albums and all the hits. Save the dates: November 3rd and November 4th. Doors open at 6pm and show starts at 8pm. PULP
