TICKETS ARE GOING FAST TO NIGHT 2 OF THE 1975’s AT THEIR VERY BEST LIVE IN MANILA SHOW

BOTH NIGHTS ALSO TO FEATURE RISING MODERN POP ARTIST WALLICE

After what seemed like an eternity of waiting for excited die-hard Filipino fans, it’s finally happening soon: English modern pop/rock outfit THE 1975 are coming to Manila, and they’re performing all the hits and treating their loyal Pinoy fans to a concert experience like no other for TWO consecutive nights in a row.

That’s right: the band – composed of vocalist Matty Healy, Adam Hann, George Daniel and Ross MacDonald – are scheduled to deliver their hits at the famed SM Mall of Asia Arena on May 3rd and 4th. While tickets for the first night were immediately sold-out after the announcement came last year, due to popular demand, tickets were released for a second night late last year, proving the strong clamor for both the group and their hit singles, which include “Settle Down,” “She’s American” “If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know),” “Chocolate,” “Sex” “Happiness,” “I’m In Love With You” and countless others.

Garnering over 2 million in collected sales since their inception, The 1975 remain to be one of the most sought-after live acts in the world. Having released their self-titled debut album in 2013, the band was well-received both by fans and critics, and went on a consistent quest for world domination with their 2016 follow-up I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It which reached no. 1 in the US, UK and Australia, and awarded Album of the Year by NME. From then on, they consistently proved that theirs was a winning formula, with subsequent well-received releases, namely A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships (2018), Notes on a Conditional Form (2020), and their most-recent fifth studio album Being Funny in a Foreign Language (2022).

And as mentioned, the band intends to play ALL the hits for their legion of fans.

AND the exciting news doesn’t stop there, because joining The 1975 during their two-night run here in Manila is rising indie/bedroom pop artist WALLICE. Equal parts mysterious – as her music only recently surfaced on streaming platforms after years of gaining momentum on video streaming platform youtube.com – and sonically adventurous, the Los Angeles, USA based artist has been making waves with young music fans from all over the world with her wonderfully quirky sound that combines electronic music with a myriad of other genres under the indie-umbrella and her brutally honest lyricism. So Filipino fans will definitely be in for a great time.

So there’s still a chance to grab the remaining seats for this momentous occasion, whether you’re a fresh listener who is yet to witness The 1975’s infectious live show, or longtime diehard who just can’t get enough of them! Gates open at 6pm and show starts at 8pm. Day 2 tickets for THE 1975 AT THEIR VERY BEST LIVE IN MANILA are still available at SM Tickets outlets nationwide or online via smtickets.com
