ARCHITECTS’ NEW ALBUM ‘FOR THOSE THAT WISH TO EXIST’ OUT FEBRUARY 26, 2021

Following the surprise release of a searing single called “Animals”, Architects have announced last week the details of their upcoming album For Those That Wish To Exist. Arriving February 26, 2021 via Epitaph, the forthcoming record will be the Brighton band’s ninth full-length release.

“This album was me looking at our inability to change to a way of life that would sustain the human race and save the planet,” says guitarist Dan Searle, who directed the haunting music video for the recently released lead single.

“I wanted to look in the mirror and ask ourselves the question of what are we going to do, as opposed to trying to point the finger at politicians,” Searle continues. “Change has to start on a personal level. The world has developed a culture of wanting someone else to deal with it, when we need to take our own responsibility. It has to start there.”

For Those That Wish To Exist serves as a daunting reflection of the world’s slow destruction and an examination of the role humankind plays in it. It swings from an “energizing positivity that it is not too late to correct our collective course” to “a paralyzing negativity of defeatism.” It’s a piece of music that challenges us to “rise to challenge established models and strive for a collective betterment.”
