Year: 2018

In the days leading up to today’s announcement, the Filipino Metal community has been abuzz with a familiar air of excitement—one that comes around months before we all congregate at the biggest Metal event in the Philippines, the PULP SUMMER SLAM.

PULP SUMMER SLAM is Southeast Asia’s longest-running Metal festival, drawing in a massive crowd of at least 30,000 year after year. The Slam is a Metal tradition unlike any other—a tradition forged in fire and made steel by the people. The community it created has grown stronger through the years, built from an undying passion for heavy music. Now approaching two decades of Metal mayhem, its intensity hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Recently ranking at #229 in worldwide list Festival 250 (coming from #243 in the previous year), the Slam is recognized as an exceptional Metal festival worthy of being considered among the world’s best. Festival 250 is an annual project from Festival Insights, an online B2B publication focused on the international festival industry. As the “Knowledge Hub of the Festival Industry,” Festival Insights was created by Festival Awards LTD—the founders of the prestigious UK, European, and Iberian Festival Awards.

The Slam continues to build on its unparalleled legacy as it takes things on a whole new level for its 19th installment. After mounting 2017’s historic SLAYER in Manila concert, PULP Live World proudly announces that PULP SUMMER SLAM XIX will be headlined by the mighty SLAYER, and crimson rain will descend upon the Slam when Tom Araya, Kerry King, Paul Bostaph, and Gary Holt make their triumphant return. The reigning titans of thrash will be coming back to Manila one final time, with the Philippines being the ONLY Southeast Asian stop of their massive Final World Tour.

It was early in 2018 that SLAYER announced that they would be embarking on “One Final World Tour” before bowing out for good—news that came as a bit of a shock to their worldwide fans, especially to Filipino fans who had just seen them at full power in October 2017. North American dates came first with support from Anthrax, Lamb Of God, Behemoth, and Testament (who, by the way, are bands that have played at the Slam), and the response has been incredible. More dates were added literally by popular demand and it was reported that SLAYER planned to continue on this farewell tour in 2019.

“We’ve been blown away by the response we’ve been getting here in North America,” said Kerry King in a statement, talking about the overwhelming response from the fans during the first leg of their North American tour, majority of which, if not all, having been sold out shows. “We’ve heard about fans who have driven five, six hours, or flown in from other cities or countries to see us, so we want to assure our fans that we’ll be on the road through 2019 and will get to as many places around the world as possible to make it easier for everyone to come and see us one last time.”

“I just want to take the time out to say thank you to all our fans who have made this first part of this tour phenomenal. You really are loyal and dedicated fans and we appreciate that so much from you,” Tom Araya added. “We still have quite a few places to play, so next year, keep your eyes and ears open so you can catch us live one last and final time. Again, thank you!”

Save the date—all hell will break loose at the Amoranto Stadium on March 23, 2019 at PULP SUMMER SLAM XIX. Tickets will be available starting December 15, 2018 via SM Tickets outlets nationwide (www.smtickets.com) and TicketNet (www.ticketnet.ph). • Months after #NeckDeepManila2018, we’re coming back with another one that’s sure to knock your socks off again—Bazooka Rocks presents Tiny Moving Parts Live in Manila, powered by PULP Live World! Save the date and be sure to be at Skydome, SM North EDSA on September 7, 2018.

It’s been a huge year so far for Minnesota trio Tiny Moving Parts who kicked off 2018 with the successful release of their latest album, Swell. They followed this up with a headlining tour across the US with over 30 dates, most of them having been sold-out shows. Now, after playing their biggest headlining shows to date, the band continues to make the most of the year. They’re preparing to make their way to places they never imagined they’d get to play back when they started out jamming in basements years and years ago. They’re set to return to Europe, but not until after they head to Australia and Asia for the first time ever. Manila, Philippines will be the final stop of Tiny Moving Parts’ six-stop Asia Tour 2018, and we can already tell how special it’s going to be!

Swell is the latest to come from Tiny Moving Parts following 2016’s Celebrate, both albums released through Triple Crown Records and Big Scary Monsters. Making up the band are brothers Matthew Chevalier (bass, vocals) and Billy Chevalier (drums), along with their cousin Dylan Mattheisen (guitar, vocals). A self-described “family band,” Tiny Moving Parts hail from the tiny town of Benson, Minnesota and started out back when they were in junior high. Now, they’re a band with a growing catalogue of relatable anthems—ones you might perhaps find in a playlist with songs by their former tour-mates The Front Bottoms and Modern Baseball, or even by our former Bazooka Rocks acts State Champs and The Wonder Years.

The music world would often box them into the “emo revival” category, at times pop punk, indie, or math rock, but they’re a band that seemingly couldn’t care less about what their music is called. They are, after all, more concerned with creating music that people can enjoy and relate to. “We don’t think too much about what genre we’re getting thrown into. We are just happy that people enjoy our music, and can feel something from it,” vocalist and guitarist Dylan Mattheisen tells PULP Magazine in an exclusive interview.

Since day one, they’ve continued to develop their sound into something of their own through a number of records now, Swell being their sixth. Evolving yet consistent is how we describe their music, and this is something that makes Tiny Moving Parts so worth the listen. Swell, to many, is the best piece of work to come from the band, with tracks like “Caution,” “Applause,” “Warm Hand Splash,” and more. Released back in January 26, 2018, the album has tracks that continue to resonate and draw people into Tiny Moving Parts shows. September couldn’t soon enough as we all look forward to sing and scream along to these songs!

Tiny Moving Parts Live in Manila, presented by Bazooka Rocks and PULP Live World, happens on September 7, 2018 at the Skydome, SM North EDSA. Tickets go on sale soon at SM Tickets outlets nationwide and online (www.smtickets.com).

ACT FAST and snag limited EARLY BIRD tickets for just P800 until August 1, 2018! Don’t wait ‘til it’s too late to get your hands on discounted tickets! Regular tickets are priced at P1,000. Ticketing charges apply.

  • EXO PLANET #4 – THE ELYXION IN MANILA

Your invitation has arrived—PULP Live World is proud to announce the sensational return of EXO to Manila, bringing their BIGGEST concert tour yet to Filipino EXO-Ls. Featuring the group’s heaviest production to date (biggest amount of LED screens, motion-capture system, moving kinesis lighting, blockbuster-like VCR, and stereoscopic stage design), EXO PLANET #4 — The EℓyXiOn in Manila is set to take place this coming April 28, 2018 at the MOA Arena.

It has only been a year since the two-day madness of the EXO’rDIUM in Manila, and fans are sure to recall quite clearly the epic, out-of- this-world shows given to us by Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. Those concerts were spectacles to behold from start to finish, and it’s almost unimaginable how the group aims to outdo themselves, yet they have effortlessly done so every single time. To the delight of their loyal fans all over the globe, EXO shows no sign of stopping as they remain to be in full power.

Fresh from the success of their fourth full-length album The War, EXO continues to thrive. They were named Artist of the Year in the 2017 Melon Music Awards, as well as in the 2017 Asia Artist Awards. Released on July 18th, 2017, The War was awarded Album of the Year in the most recent Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). This marks a record-breaking win for the now quadruple-million sellers as it was their fifth consecutive Album Of The Year win since they first won the daesang in 2013 with their first full-length album XOXO. The album shot straight to the No. 1 spot on various charts like the Billboard World Album chart and the Gaon chart, also becoming No. 1 on iTunes in over 50 countries. Not to mention, The War also became the best-selling KPop album of 2017 in under a week. Within the first hour of the release of the viral and iconic track “Ko Ko Bop” alone, they accumulated over 78,000 unique listeners—the second-highest number of listeners recorded of all time.

The repackaged The War: The Power of Music was also unsurprisingly a chart-topping commercial success, being number one in over 40 countries. As if that wasn’t enough, EXO followed this up with another successful release in December, their special winter album Universe. It topped Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100 and also hit No. 1 in at least 27 countries. The list of everything EXO accomplished in 2017 goes on—all of this speaks volumes about how wide EXO’s reach has grown on a global scale, making their ongoing concert tour something to truly look forward to.

All the while enjoying the record-breaking success of The War, EXO was setting out to reveal their fourth concert tour, The EℓyXiOn, which was announced by S.M. Entertainment in October. It kicked off with three dates at the massive Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul come November, with all 66,000 tickets selling out in 0.2 seconds, breaking their own record of selling over 67,000 tickets in 0.4 seconds during The EXO’luXion back in 2015. The EℓyXiOn kickoff shows were some of the biggest ever in KPop history with topnotch production components and overwhelming, vivid visuals—it was sure to be one of KPop’s most stunning productions. EXO welcomed their fans to nothing short of a grand musical fantasy, with the show running for nearly three hours and giving space for the members to have strong individual stages.

They’ve since brought this exciting concert tour to Japan with other dates in Asia now scheduled. It won’t be long now until EXO fulfills their promise of coming back to the Philippines. Once again, they are inviting Filipino EXO-Ls to see them this summer, eager to make more wonderful memories with some of their most dedicated fans. This time, they’re sure to flood everyone’s senses even more than they ever have before, inviting their audience into their utopia—the spectacular, astounding EℓyXiOn.

Surely, no EXO-L would want to pass up on EXO’s invitation. Get ready for another round with the boys and witness EXO give their most exhilarating performance yet. EXO PLANET #4 — The EℓyXiOn in Manila, happening on April 28, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena, is brought to you by S.M. Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment, Globe and PULP Live World. Show starts promptly at 6PM. Tickets will go on sale on March 4, 2018 (10AM) and will be available at all SM Tickets outlets nationwide or call 470-2222 or online (www.smtickets.com). • Red Rain Will Fall – Slayer To Make Manila Live Debut at KIA Theatre

TRIBAL and PULP LIVE WORLD are proud to announce that two-time Grammy Award-winning thrash metal legends SLAYER are set to perform in Manila for the first time on October 11, 2017 at the KIA THEATRE, Cubao. Witness heavy metal history as bassist and vocalist Tom Araya, guitarist Kerry King, guitarist Gary Holt, and drummer Paul Bostaph perform their timeless anthems such as “Angel of Death,” “Raining Blood,” “War Ensemble,” “South of Heaven,” and many more.

Formed in 1981 in Huntington Park, California, with the original line-up including guitarist Jeff Hanneman (deceased) and drummer Dave Lombardo, the band is widely considered to be one of The Big Four of Thrash Metal along with Megadeth, Anthrax, and Metallica. Their albums Reign in Blood, South of Heaven, and Seasons in the Abyss are cited as seminal albums, paving the way for more extreme metal subgenres such as death metal and black metal.

Their latest full-length studio album Repentless was released on September 11, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records. It is their first album to feature the newest members in the line-up, Gary Holt (formerly of Exodus) and Paul Bostaph (formerly of Exodus and Testament). It is also the band’s first release without Jeff Hanneman. The founding member contracted necrotizing fasciitis from a spider bite back in early 2011, and sadly passed away of cirrhosis in May 2, 2013. As expected, it was difficult for the band to soldier on without Hanneman. Not only was the late guitarist heavily involved in the production of their albums, but he was also a huge part of the band’s songwriting.

“When we went into the studio, I was a little apprehensive,” Araya tells Loudwire. Slayer is really the culmination of the two of them [Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King]. I felt it would be lopsided.”

Araya shared that even though Hanneman wasn’t able to record any of the songs on the record physically (he penned the track “Piano Wire”), he was present at rehearsals during the early stages of the album to listen to the songs and give his thoughts. This gave the band the confidence that Hanneman would’ve been proud of Repentless. Evidently, fans and critics agree. The album sold over 80,000 copies in the US alone and debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, their highest position yet in their native country. It also garnered generally positive reviews. “Slayer not only has something new to say on Repentless, but a new way to say it,” writes J.C. Macek III of Spectrum Culture, while Dom Lawson of The Guardian writes, “Slayer have always been a model of consistency and a band that fans of vicious, vein-bursting heavy metal can rely on.”

Just a few months after they experienced Megadeth at this year’s Pulp Summer Slam, Filipino metalheads are in for another treat. Get ready for this skull-crushing and blood-soaked thrash metal event that no self-respecting metalhead would want to miss. SLAYER IN MANILA is presented by TRIBAL and PULP LIVE WORLD. The concert will be held on October 11, 2017 at the KIA THEATRE, Cubao. Doors open at 6:00PM and show starts at 8:00PM Tickets are available at all Ticketnet outlets and online thru www.ticketnet.com.ph or call 911-5555. Ticket prices are Php7,500 (VIP A), Php6,000 (VIP B), Php3,500 (LOGE), and Php2,500 (Balcony). Ticketing service charges apply. This year’s roster promises to be the biggest Slam ever with MEGADETH headlining this monster line-up of ferocity and chaos! The American heavy metal band currently comprised of bassist David Ellefson, guitarist Kiko Loureiro, drummer Dirk Verbeuren and two-time Golden God awardee frontman Dave Mustaine are set to return to Manila after their immensely-successful solo Manila concert held last July 29, 2012. Two international bands from the historic 13th and 14th installments of the Slam are also set to make a return to the Philippines’ most commanding rock stage. Tennessee-based deathcore band WHITECHAPEL will be touring in support of their recently-released sixth full-length album Mark of the Blade, the follow-up to their 2014 breakthrough release Our Endless War, which peaked at the Billboard Album Charts at the Top 10. Adding to the monster roster is American electronicore band I SEE STARS, widely considered as a pioneering electronicore band and recognized as one of the very first bands to fuse elements of post-hardcore and metalcore music with an eclectic electronic sound dating back to 2006. • 2017 PARK HYUNG SIK FIRST LOVE IN MANILA

Get ready to fall in love as PULP Live World brings you one of today’s most talented Korean stars. For the first time ever, Manila fans will have the chance to meet the charming and charismatic singer and actor Park Hyung Sik at the 2017 PARK HYUNG SIK FIRST LOVE IN MANILA, happening on November 11, 2017 at the KIA Theatre, Cubao!

Hyung Sik first entered the limelight as a member of South Korean boy group ZE:A, also known as Children of Empire. With Hyungsik as its main vocalist and visual (and also a part of its sub-unit ZE:A FIVE), ZE:A emerged in 2010 with their debut single album Nativity which features the catchy and captivating lead single “Mazeltov”. On the same day of its release, it topped Daum’s artist and album performance charts. Following their ground breaking debut, ZE:A went on to have a vast and rich catalogue through the years with two studio albums (Lovability and Spectacular), three more single albums (Leap For Detonation, Exciting, and Phoenix), two EPs (Illusion and First Homme, which features the single “Breathe”), and a compilation album (제국의아이들 (ZE:A) – Continue (Best Album))—all chock full of infectious, upbeat numbers and moving ballads.

Nowadays, Hyung Sik is more popular on television series, slowly but surely revealing himself to be a versatile actor through different roles. He has given life to the characters of the carefree and fun-loving Jo Myung Soo in The Heirs (2013), the uncertain Cha Dal Bong in What’s With This Family (2014), the wealthy heir Yoo Chang Soo in High Society (2015), and the king-turned-warrior Sam Maek Jong in period drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth (2016), among others. Most recently, he became known as the haughty yet endearing CEO Ahn Min Hyuk in JBTC’s record-breaking and highest-rating series Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, a romantic comedy where he starred alongside actress Park Bo Young for his first lead role.

With the momentum of Hyung Sik’s acting career, he has been recognized by different bodies and networks through awards, such as the Best New Actor and the Best Couple Award (with Nam Ji Hyun) for What’s With This Family, in 2014 at the 28th KBS Drama Awards. He also won an Excellence Award, along with the New Star Award, in the 23rd SBS Drama Awards in 2015 for High Society. With a couple other awards and nominations under his belt, Hyung Sik is indeed becoming one of Korea’s most stellar actors. He still keeps in touch with his musical side, however, by lending his voice to songs in the soundtracks of some of his dramas such as “I’ll Be Here” for Hwarang and “Because Of You” for Strong Woman Do Bong Soon.

In an interview with Yonhap News Agency earlier this year (in April 2017 after Strong Woman Do Bong Soon finished airing), Hyung Sik spoke about finding his identity as an actor. “I stumbled upon the question ‘Who am I’ when going through the mechanical motions as an idol musician. But later (through acting), the time came when I was able to seek my sense of inner self,” he said, adding that he learned the importance of “[maintaining] a sense of one’s self after passing through that phase in life.” He further added, “I think I’m in a stable phase now. My mind isn’t wandering any longer,” giving fans hope that there’s even more that they can look forward to in his flourishing acting career.

With Hyung Sik’s growing popularity, fans inside and outside Korea look forward to meeting him and soon, it will be his Filipino fans’ turn to meet the fatally charming and multi-talented star. Following his last fan meeting stop in Tokyo, Japan, Park Hyung Sik will be making his way to Manila for the 2017 PARK HYUNG SIK FIRST LOVE IN MANILA on November 11, 2017 at the KIA Theatre, Cubao. Gates will open at 5PM and show starts at 7:30PM. Tickets will go on sale on October 15, 2017 (10AM) and will be available at all TicketNet outlets and online (www.ticketnet.com.ph). Tickets are priced as follows: Php10,000 (Royalty – with Photo Op by group), Php8,000 (VIP – with raffle to Signed Posters), Php5,500 (Loge), and Php3,500 (Balcony). Ticketing charges apply. ALL ticket holders are entitled to a HIGHTOUCH with Park Hyung Sik! For more show information, you may visit www.pulpliveworld.com or keep your eyes glued to our PULP Live World social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  • STILL ADDICTED TO THAT RUSH — MR. BIG LIVE AT THE KIA THEATRE!

Manila, we’re all still addicted to that rush!

Once again, the legendary foursome of Eric Martin, Paul Gilbert, Billy Sheehan, and Pat Torpey—revered and respected music icons in their own right, and otherwise known collectively as Mr. Big—will deliver yet another momentous show in the Philippines presented by PLDT and Smart this coming October 12, 2017 at the Kia Theatre in Cubao.

Nearly three years since their spectacular show at the Mall of Asia Arena, PULP Live World proudly announces the return of Mr. Big in a few months, bringing us again some of their timeless hits—“Just Take My Heart”, “Green-Tinted Sixties Mind”, “Addicted To That Rush”, “Nothing But Love”, “Wild World”, and the classic chart-topper “To Be With You” among others—as well as hits-to-be off their brand new album ‘Defying Gravity’.

Taking exactly six days to make and not any longer, ‘Defying Gravity’, the latest addition to Mr. Big’s widely-celebrated catalogue, is described by vocalist Eric Martin as a record that showcases the best of what Mr. Big has to offer. “It was great to get everybody together, [with] Kevin Elson in the studio, and all of a sudden new Mr. Big music was alive,” adds the band’s guitar prodigy Paul Gilbert. “Somebody comes up with an idea that goes into the Mr. Big machine and kinda comes out sounding like Mr. Big even though we’re not going to try sounding like Mr. Big. We just do because it’s us, it’s in our DNA,” drummer Pat Torpey explains further to describe the creation of their new record, which features recently-released tracks “Everybody Needs A Little Trouble”, “1992”, and “Mean To Me”.

Bassist Billy Sheehan gives a nod to the band’s chemistry as he speaks about the pressure of producing the follow-up to 2014’s ‘…The Stories We Could Tell’ in such a short period of time. “When you can create that kind of pressure in the studio in a short amount of time, it makes for better songs — and better performances,” said Sheehan. Touring drummer Matt Starr also shares that working with the band has been a beautiful experience, with him and Pat Torpey getting along really well and having a chemistry of their own. Both of them have been sharing drum duties since Torpey’s Parkinson’s diagnosis, which ultimately (and unsurprisingly) hasn’t hindered him from being a vital part of the group.

With the promise of an even bigger, bolder and mightier offering in ‘Defying Gravity’, the hitmakers are raring to go and take on the world again in support of their new music. “The title says it all: Defying Gravity,” says Torpey. “We’re still here, and we’re still keeping the ball rolling down that hill. We’re still doing it. The album has a real positive message, and that’s what I like about it… We can still fly, even after all these years.”

Be ready for a little bit of trouble as we welcome back Mr. Big to the Philippines, a country Billy Sheehan once described as one of their favorite places in the world to perform in. MR. BIG LIVE IN MANILA 2017 is presented to you by PLDT and SMART in cooperation with PULP LIVE WORLD and also brought to you by VON DUTCH with official residence at B Hotel Quezon City. The show will be held on OCTOBER 12, 2017, Thursday at the KIA THEATRE, CUBAO. Gates open at 6:00PM and the show starts at 7:30PM.

  • BAZOOKA ROCKS V RETURNS TO BRING YOU A POP PUNK WEEKEND

Nevermind the naysayers. They will all tell you that pop punk is a dead and defunct genre, but a lot of things will prove otherwise– just take a good look at the sheer number of prolific acts in the scene, and our ever-growing community of pop punk devotees. This June 24-25, 2017 at Skydome, SM North EDSA, we arm ourselves with our anthems and gear up to #DefendPopPunk as BAZOOKA ROCKS returns for a weekend of back-to-back pop punk shows presented by PULP Live World!

We’re setting out to proclaim pop punk world domination with old friends and new– our good folks from Arizona, THE MAINE are making their return to the Philippines in support of their brand new record; for Australian band WITH CONFIDENCE, it’s never too soon to come back and play for a bigger and wilder Philippine audience, and they’re also bringing along their fellow OZ rising act, CAMBRIDGE, from Sydney; and last but not the least, New York pop punk torchbearers STATE CHAMPS are finally hitting our shores for their debut Manila show, to the delight of long-time fans who’ve clamored for their presence. Both bands are ready to charge with us and champion our cause as we rally the unyielding pop punk community and wave our flags high at Skydome.

THE MAINE have spent the past several weeks working on their sixth studio album, Lovely, Little, Lonely, following up 2015’s American Candy, and will be bringing us new tunes this June. This year’s Bazooka Rocks V co-headliners are certainly not new to the immense energy of the Manila crowd, having performed in the Philippines several times already. They’ve done mall tours in 2011, headlined their own show at Skydome in support of their first independent release Pioneer, and rocked the first ever Bazooka Rocks Festival in 2012, brought the 8123 Tour to Manila in 2014, and was the support act of All Time Low at a sold-out show in 2015. John, Garrett, Jared, Pat, and Kennedy kicked off 2017 by mounting the 8123 Fest in Arizona in celebration of the band’s 10th year, and are now making their way back to us for the sixth time ever on June 24th. We celebrate 10 years of The Maine, a band that has remained as one of the scene’s steadfast mainstays.

Hailing from Albany, New York are STATE CHAMPS, a pop punk band of a new breed. Since they tore through the scene with the release of their first full-length album The Finer Things in 2013, the Pure Noise Records act enjoyed a steady momentum and is now at the forefront of a phenomenon dubbed as the pop punk revival. Two years after, they put out their second album, Around The World And Back, which peaked at #30 in the Billboard 200. Living up to its title, the sophomore effort featuring singles “Secrets”, “Losing Myself”, and “All You Are Is History” has set them up to conquer the world stage– UK, Australia, New Zealand, and North America. Now, they’re making their way to Manila for the first time ever to rock the Skydome on June 25th, satiating the strong demand of those who’ve been asking for a State Champs show over here for the longest time!

Joining State Champs for the second day of Bazooka Rocks V are the endearing and highly promising lads from the land down under, WITH CONFIDENCE, who will be coming with their fellow Sydney homeboys CAMBRIDGE. Swinging by just last year for a three-show Philippine tour powered by SM Malls and PULP Live World, With Confidence aren’t taking long in keeping the promise they made their smitten fans– that they’d be back. After breaking out in the States in 2016 during their run in the entire VANS Warped Tour in support of Better Weather, their debut album under Hopeless Records, the band has gone on to play in the UK, the Philippines, and then back home in Australia where they’ve played their anthems for massive crowds. Their long-time fans look on with pride as they take the world by storm one stage at a time, and Bazooka Rocks V will surely be another one for the books for the Oz up-and-comers, after they complete their UK/EU headlining tour in the first quarter of 2017.

Sydney-based pop punk band Cambridge will also join in on the fun, forming a tag team with With Confidence for an Australian takeover on the second day of Bazooka Rocks V, supporting State Champs. Formed in 2013, the four-piece band is slowly but surely rising in their local pop-punk scene. Although generally perceived as a “new” band, Cambridge have years of experience under their belt, having opened for Mayday Parade, Motion City Soundtrack, and others. Given our affinity for the catchiest of hooks and pop melodies, the “Catalina Wine Mixer” act is ready to blow us away.

Catch THE MAINE on June 24, 2017 (Saturday), and STATE CHAMPS with support acts WITH CONFIDENCE and CAMBRIDGE on June 25, 2017 (Sunday) at Skydome, SM North EDSA as BAZOOKA ROCKS V brings you a pop punk weekend like no other, proudly presented by PULP Live World. For Day 1, gates will open at 6PM and show starts at 8PM. For Day 2, gates will open at 4:30PM and show starts at 6:30PM. Tickets are priced as follows: Php 3,800 for a one-day VIP Pass (inclusive of a free PULP Magazine and Meet & Greet with the band), Php 2,800 for a regular one-day pass, and Php 6,500 for a VIP two-day pass inclusive of a free PULP Magazine, a VIP laminate, and Meet & Greet with the bands. Tickets now available at all SM Tickets outlets nationwide (ticketing charges apply) or call 470-2222 or visit www.smtickets.com, or via direct purchase at the PULP HQ (without ticketing charges). For more information, visit www.pulpliveworld.com or call 727-4957.

  • EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA

EXO RETURNS TO THE PHILIPPINES FOR THEIR LATEST AND BIGGEST TOUR YET.

Almost a year after the roaring, record-breaking success of EXO PLANET #2: THE EXO’LUXION IN MANILA held last January 23 and 24, 2016, PULP Live World announces that EXO will return to the Philippines for EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA this February 25 and 26, 2017 at Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. Filipino fans can expect that the Korean boy group hailed by Dazed Digital as “the world’s biggest boy band” will pull all stops to surpass their history-making previous tour. XIUMIN, SUHO, LAY, BAEKHYUN, CHEN, CHANYEOL, D.O., KAI, and SEHUN will showcase their out-of-this-world vocals, dancing prowess, and appeal performing hits such as “Mama,” “Wolf,” “Growl,” “Overdose,” “Call Me Baby,” “Lucky One” and “Monster,” among many others.

EXO is a Chinese-South Korean boy band based in Seoul, formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2011. Last 2013, EXO released their first best-selling album, XOXO, that contained their breakthrough hit song, “Growl.” This album shot EXO to stardom having them win the Disk Daesang Award (highest award) at the 28th Golden Disk Awards and receiving the Album of the Year Award at the 15th Mnet Asian Music Awards. XOXO sold over one million copies, making the group the fastest-selling Korean artist in the last twelve years. Their third EP Overdose (2014) made EXO the highest-charting Korean male act on Billboard 200 at No. 129 and it peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums Chart.

During EXO’s first world tour in Seoul, EXO FROM EXO PLANET #1 – THE LOST PLANET, tickets were sold out within 1.47 seconds showing the high popularity of the group. With this experience, the ticketing site YES24 prepared more servers to cater to the massive number of fans this time around, but were faced with a record-breaking number of 1.2 million Korean fans visiting the site all at the same time! When PULP Live World made the announcement for EXO PLANET #2 – The EXO’luXion in Manila in late 2015, the tickets for the original night sold out merely hours after they went on sale, that a second night was added to meet the high demand! Their third full-length album EX’ACT released last June 2016 became the most pre-ordered K-Pop album of all time.

And now, we witness EXO at their highest point yet with their latest and biggest tour ever. In Seoul alone, at least 84,000 EXO-Ls flocked to their six-day EXO’RDIUM tour at the massive Olympic Park Stadium, where they entertained their fans for three hours and a half with more than 30 songs in their set list, making groundbreaking K-Pop entertainment history—never before has an act performed six times in the colossal venue. With EX’ACT selling 660,000 copies and its double title tracks “Monster” and “Lucky One” effortlessly climbing charts (both in Korea and overseas), EXO is set to make bigger and bigger waves as they once again take the world by storm. And once more, Filipino EXO-Ls will light up Manila as we welcome the insanely dynamic and talented group for EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA.

EXO PLANET #3 – THE EXO’RDIUM IN MANILA is brought to you by SM Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment, PLDT Home Fibr and PULP Live World with official residence at Edsa Shangri-la, Manila. Tickets are available at all Ticketnet outlets or call 911-5555 or online at www.ticketnet.com.ph! It will be held this February 25 and 26, 2017 at Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. EXO PLANET #3 – The EXO’rDIUM in Manila Day 1 (February 25, 2017) will promptly start at 7:30PM while Day 2 (February 26, 2017) will promptly start at 5:30PM.
