THE USED LIVE IN MANILA

After wreaking a rocking, riotous set at the highly successful Bazooka Rocks Festival 3 last year, THE USED is set to return for their first ever headlining show in Manila on July 31, 2015 at the SM North Skydome, Quezon City. Presented by PULP Live World and 28 Black, and The Yellow Room Music, the post-hardcore band from Utah is coming back to hold a longer, louder and crazier concert that will definitely leave you screaming for more.

Currently composed of Bert McCracken on vocals, Jeph Howard on bass, Dan Whitesides on drums, and touring member Justin Shekoski (Saosin) on guitar, The Used is known for their emotionally charged and melodically heavy hooks that paved the way for the rise of other post-hardcore bands in the early 2000’s. In the 14 years of their career, the band has released a total of 6 critically acclaimed albums. Their first two albums The Used (2002) and In Love and Death (2004), which were both certified gold in the States alone, became the defining soundtracks of the rising generation of its time.

In 2014, they released their latest album Imaginary Enemy which delves deeper into their musicality and offers a more critical view of society as it challenges the sociopolitical status quo. With tracks such as “Revolution”, “Ehl-Oh-Vee-Ee” and “Generation Throwaway”, the band intends to question norms, empower freedom and incite awareness in everyone through their music.

“We are awake and alive. We want to help wake people up as much as possible.”

In an exclusive interview with PULP Magazine in 2014, Jeph Howard proclaimed that this is their current mission as a band, and they prove this again and again in every live performance.
