INSIDE THIS ISSUE:

YOU WANT EXTRA RICE WITH THAT?

Local pop-punk band Kamikazee are probably the most carefree individuals to grace the local rock scene… face it: they’ve been released by their label, were asked to write a rap song for Salbakuta, didn’t receive much credit for their debut album- but all that still wasn’t enough to wipe the smiles off their faces. Is it commercial suicide?

THE REBIRTH OF A BAND

Some time ago, the future of local rap-rock outfit Dicta License didn’t look too promising; yet the band picked itself up, and is now in the finishing stages of releasing their first full-length under Warner Music Philippines, showcasing material that signals a newfound inspiration and drive to create music outside the boundaries many critics have set their first time around.

SOMEWHERE IS WHERE IT’S AT

Sometimes, the best plan is to have no plan at all… and in Wunjo’s case, their constant delving into the unknown and spontaneous has worked wonders for their relatively young outfit, as they’ve managed to go against the grind and create a loyal following of audiences who like their music slick, steady, and cool.

GIVE IT UP FOR… THE MOYG BAND!

Being veterans of the local underground punk scene, Moyg isn’t exactly as crazy about the labels and the tags audiences may try to fixate on the music. And now, they finally released their full-length disc Everything In Between under their Viper Tone label.
