PULP Magazine Issue #54

INSIDE THIS ISSUE:

THE DAWN: JUST LIKE THE OLD TIMES

We found an old copy of The Score, a local music magazine from ages ago, that had legendary Filipino rock band The Dawn on the cover standing on a street somewhere in Makati. And almost two decades later, we thought it’d be fun to try and do the exact same thing for our cover shoot. Meanwhile, we got Luis Katigbak to write the story about the band’s latest album Harapin and to visit the past and present of the one of the country’s longest surviving bands.

GREYHOUNDZ GIVE US FIRE

No matter how punishing the blows of the dark, negative forces hounding at the Greyhoundz’ camp were, it still wasn’t enough to keep Reg, Niño, TJ, and Audie from spewing out Apoy this 2005.

THEIR WISH IS OUR COMMAND

How do you make it to the pages of PULP? The answer is simple- be creative. And be funny. And make a song with us in it. Kikomachine is obviously a band that has done all three. Think you can top their style?

THE LAST TEMPTATION OF… MUSICIANS?

Do you wanna be famous? Do you dream of hitting the big time no matter the cost? We suggest you re-evaluate the situation, and see if you’re willing to go as far as you’d go for the success of your album and your band.

PUT THIS ON YOUR TO-BUY LIST!

Can’t wait for the next Cheese album? Still salivating over the fact that it’s been quite a while since you’ve heard anything from Badburn? Curious as to what Chicosci, Typecast, Skychurch, and Parokya ni Edgar plan to do next in the studio?
