AUGUST BURNS RED PROVES THE DEVIL DOESN’T HAVE ALL THE GOOD MUSIC

When we announced that AUGUST BURNS RED was part of PULP Summer Slam 12: The Apostles, the heavens shook and there was a thundering boom of approval from all of you defenders of the faith. Needless to say, ABR is truly one of the most intense metal-core acts in the international music game, and they were scheduled to tear Manila a new one (alongside five other international giants…). In this issue, vocalist Jake Luhrs talks with PULP about life on the road, in the studio, and the band’s spirituality and how they don’t want to be tagged as a “Christian Metal” band. Meanwhile, on the local front, World Battle of the Bands champs REKLAMO are put in the spotlight, as the uniquely quirky trio of brothers are set to release their second full-length follow-up.
