NECK DEEP SHARES REIMAGINED VERSION OF “WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?”

A much softer, more romantic ballad is what can best describe Neck Deep’s acoustic version of their song “What Took You So Long?”.

“‘What Took You So Long? (Acoustic)’” was something we whittled together during a little down time,” says vocalist Ben Barlow. Playing around with acoustic guitars and even mandolins, the band decided to give the track a fresh new sound. This softer version alongside the original was perfect as the song speaks about love, a complex spectrum that takes different forms. Now with a variety of beats from energetic and exciting, to delicate and meaningful, the band hopes “that it could provide a little sound track to those beautiful moments with this rendition.”

The track is originally from the band’s fourth album ‘All Distortions Are Intentional’, which was released via Hopeless Records last 2020. You can listen to the full album here.
