A music video for ‘object permanence’, the third single from Sydney Sprague’s upcoming album ‘maybe i will see you at the end of the world’ premiered last January 23.

A fundamental concept in the development of infants and defined as “the understanding that objects continue to exist even when they cannot be seen, heard, or otherwise sensed”, Sydney admits that object permanence is something she struggles with even as an adult.

“Not literally, but if you’ve ever been in a long-distance relationship, you can probably relate. This song is about settling into that feeling of separation and trying to get comfortable.”

While her music is greatly influenced by her 90’s pop-rock idols, Sydney becomes more connected to her listeners by perfectly putting into words the feelings most people find hard to vocalize. This brings more excitement towards her upcoming album as it was also featured as one of 2021’s Most Anticipated with Arizona Republic and Chorus.FM.

‘maybe i will see you at the end of the world’ will be out on February 26, 2021. Pre-order for the album is now available through this link: https://music.ruderecords.com/miwsyateotw
