Slipknot Premiere M. Shawn Crahan-directed Short Film, ‘Pollution’

Words by Nic Angeles

Following a string of visually compelling videos from the latest Slipknot album We Are Not Your Kind—which have amassed millions and millions of views on Youtube in the span of just a few months—the band’s artistic mastermind M. Shawn Crahan has created a new short film.

Titled Pollution, Crahan, otherwise known as Clown, set out to “[make] you question your own existence, here in this reality.” The new visual runs for 20 minutes and was produced by Nic Neary.

Crahan poses a question: “When you lay down in your bed, next to the one you love, do you ever ask yourself – is it possible that this person could slit my throat while I’m sleeping?”

Pollution is everywhere. Watch it below:

Split into multiple sections, the short film eventually flows into the previously released “Nero Forte” music video.

The release of Pollution coincides with the kickoff of Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind World Tour for the year 2020.

First show of the decade. New tour. New setlist. Thank you, Dublin. 🇮🇪
