WAVV is set to take OPM to greater heights as the newest inclusive online platform for music-lovers.
Connecting OPM to the rest of the world has been made even easier, all thanks to the upcoming music platform WAVV.
Providing an environment for Filipino musicians to showcase their creative work to the world, WAVV prides itself as an inclusive online music platform in the country where both musicians and music-lovers can come together to share their passion.
With the goal of levelling the playing field for all artists, the new music platform will be making waves to support local artists while providing abundant opportunities for events and business.
Strengthening its aim of reaching as many music-lovers as possible, WAVV will be available both as a website and as a mobile app. It will also offer users an easier way to book live shows and events, while connecting interested stakeholders with the musicians themselves directly and securely.
WAVV also serves as a business platform for merchandise and a media platform for music streaming, giving artists more ways to share their content with the world at large and tap into a much larger audience.
With both parties in mind, the app aims to provide a more secure way for musicians to play by giving them the security of getting paid even if the organizer cancels last minute, as well as for organizers to have an easier time looking for bands by checking their portfolio on their page, and to check their reputation by collating reviews.
Also highlighting its mission of promoting inclusivity for all OPM artists, WAVV also sets to be a home for music-lovers coming from areas of the country outside Manila, where the OPM scene is currently largely based in. Giving more musicians from all around the country a chance to be heard by the nation, the music platform highly encourages diversity in genres, languages, and styles.
WAVV also introduces creative hubs from all around the country, which will serve as local chapters where artists are bred, developed, and launched. Its locations include Manila, Cebu, Baguio, Dagupan, Iligan, Dumaguete, CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), and Palawan. There are also creative hubs from the music platform overseas, including places like Los Angeles, Florida, New York City, Houston, and Australia.
“Our advocacy is to create an all-inclusive environment to unite music-lovers across the nation, from every background, ethnicity, and dialect through a single platform. The environment grows as the world grows,” WAVV states, all ahead of their journey to developing a more inclusive, varied, and true-to-culture music scene in the Philippines.
This November, WAVV will have a grand launch with 30 bands playing in 12 different hubs – eight in the Philippines and four in America. Kicking off this November 16 at the Manila, Palawan, Iligan, and Calabarzon local hubs along with the LA, Florida, and Houston hubs in America, the simultaneous launch will be followed by the introduction of the NYC hub on November 30. Meanwhile, the Cebu, Dagupan, Baguio, and Dumaguete hub launches will be announced soon.
