Three years after the release of their most recent album Stage Four, Touche Amore have dropped a brand new single. The California post-hardcore mainstays worked with Ross Robinson to deliver “Deflector.” Listen below:
“It’s been three years since the release of Stage Four. It’s been a growing and healing experience since its release,” the band begins to say in a statement. “Time has also flown in a way we didn’t expect. We’ve spent the better part of that time touring and writing on and off. Earlier this year we buckled down and started writing with purpose. With that came this song DEFLECTOR.”
With their last two albums recorded with Brad Wood whom they’ve considered the band’s sixth member, the band felt they needed to “to take a chance with the unfamiliar,” hence the collaboration with Ross Robinson whom the band described as “a man who knows no comfort zone.” “Deflector,” according to the band, captured the chemistry that existed between them and the renowned producer and caught it on tape.
“Deflector” will be released on a 7” single with the previously released track, “Green.” Get it here.
