Suspiria Remake Featuring Thom Yorke Score Out In November

The 1977 horror classic Suspiria has been remade by “Call Me By Your Name” director Luca Guadagnino, and it features a score by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke. Yorke clearly has some huge shoes to fill, as the original’s score by German prog-rock band Goblin has become legendary in its own right.

This is Yorke’s first time scoring a feature length non-documentary film. He’s worked on the documentaries “When The Dragon Swallowed The Sun” (2010) and “The UK Gold” (2013), and the short film “Why Can’t We Get Along” (2018).

The remake stars Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, and Chloe Grace Moretz. It follows the same premise as the original, in which American ballerina Susie Bannion (played by Johnson) joins the prestigious Markos Tanz Company in Berlin and discovers the dark secrets it’s hiding underneath.

The original was directed by Italian horror master Dario Argento. It’s the first part of his “The Three Mothers” trilogy, which also consists of “Inferno” and “The Mother Of Tears.” Watch the trailer for the original below:
