Mike Shinoda Refutes Reports That Chester Bennington Had Ecstasy at Time of Death

TMZ recently shared the autopsy and toxicology results of Linkin Park frontman Chester Benington, which showed that there was alcohol and MDMA in his system at the time of his death. However, Mike Shinoda has refuted this via Twitter, claiming that TMZ “misread the report.” TMZ has changed corrected their article. It now reads that the drug was only detected only once out of the three times the test was made, the conclusion being that Bennington was not under the influence at the time of his death.

Bennington’s wife, Talinda Bennington, has also responded to this saying that the LA County Coroner’s Office paraphrased the story to “scumbag filth” TMZ in order to “dramatize and sensationalize the story”:
